Easy Tips to Increase Productivity (Part 2)


In my previous post I talk about your physical fitness and productivity.

Physical activity and fitness is only one part of the equation.

You need a little more than that to lead a healthy, productive lifestyle.

That is – keep yourself hydrated.

Personally for me I can focus when I am well hydrated and the worse part is I get headaches when I am dehydrated. When you can focus on the tasks at hand obviously you will be more productive.

There are many theories about drinking water; some say that you need to drink 8 glasses of water while others say you need to go by your thirst.

For me I have the habit of drinking full glass of water first thing in the morning and then I go by my thirst.

I took the above picture of the New Zealand Wood Pigeon yesterday afternoon at the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. I think he go by his thirst to keep hydrated. 🙂

Another good thing to do is to incorporate water rich food to your diet.

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you count the number of glasses you drink or do you just go by your thirst?

    I have read if you wait until you’re thirsty you are already dehydrated. I also read you should drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water. I try to make sure I get at least 64 ounces of water a day. FYI, not 1/2 my body weight a little short.
