I thought to myself mmm… INTERESTING…
But, when I think about it clearly what these companies have done was CREATING instead of COMPETING.
This is one of the principles taught on the book “Science of Getting Rich” – Wallace D Wattles.
We all know McDonald’s meals are a BIG NO NO to people who are trying to lose weight. What they have done was effectively taking the competition away.
This is good lesson for marketers like us, we need to always look at the ways of creating instead of competing.
When you are online you see so many other people doing the same things as you do. At this point it is easy to get into a competitive mindset. If that happens you have to find a way to work with them for mutual benefit.
One example of this is organizing a content syndication group, forming joint venture partnerships, learn from each other… and the list goes on.
This trend is very apparent now with online marketing gurus. You see people joining forces with to the greater benefit and it will definitely help the wider community.
I invite you to watch this short video I did on this subject.

Very good Damayanthi and thus my reason for going with the niche that I have. If we are all doing the same thing then competition is fierce and we all struggle or get trampled.

Creating instead of competing – great subject to give serious thought to.
Very interesting how McDonald's and Weight Watchers teamed up – now they can both keep their customers.
