I wanted to share with you a conversation I had with a bank officer this morning. This lady asked me “How are you?” and my reply was as always “Excellent”.
She was literally stunned… she looked at me in surprise and said “it is great to hear someone is excellent on a Monday morning”.
Anyway at the end when she got to know that I work from home she said how great it is. Yes, I do agree with her and everyone think it is really cool to work from home, but they do not understand the challenges faced by work from home entrepreneurs.
Click ‘Play’ on the video to hear more about it.
The challenges I personally face are self-discipline, family over time, distractions, interruptions & managing myself.
I love you to hear about the challenges you face working from home and how do you overcome them. Please share with the community here. Hi Damayanthi,
I will be quick to agree with you about the challenges we have with Working From Home. We have a large family, and because I am “Officially Retired” from my other business, I am still trying to WORK my internet business.
We have a large house and our first thought was that we would make an apartment upstairs and rent it out to help with the mortgage. Well, that was 14 years ago and we have never had the opportunity to rent it out to a real “Paying” tenant. It's always been occupied by one of the kids or grand kids that “Had no place else to stay for a while.”
Needles to say, there is always someone coming or going and they all think that GrandPa is RETIRED so lets stop and talk…. or GrandPa is retited, He will drive us to town… ETC , ETC.
I finally got smart and now I SHUT THE DOOR TO MY OFFICE when I really want to get something done.

Hi Damayanthi, I agree with the schedule you talked about in your video. I have to look at my goals daily so I can stay focused. I also cut my emails off and check them twice per day. What will you do different in 2010 to accomplish your goals?

Hi Daryl, Thanks for your comments. That's a great tip with regards to email. appreciate you sharing with the community here.
In 2010, I will not do anything radically different to the way I do things now, because they work. Saying that there is room for improvement in every area, physically, emotionally& psychologically and need to learn new skills.
Butt I do have set some goals to improve every area of my life..

It is really kwel to work from home. When you get the phone calls from your kids school saying that your little boy or girl is in the nurses office and you have to puck them up… you don't need permission to leave the computer. When you parents car broke done in the middle of the day you can always drop what you are doing and go help.
When you want to schedule your lunch break around your spouse's break… it's freedom at it's finest! And now with all the leveraged lead attraction techniques and practices you have the ultimate flexibility working from home now more than ever.
Thanks for sharing Damaynthi.
